Absolutely!

We will never charge you a trip fee if you don't attend an event. All of our charges are processed on the Monday after the trip. So, we only charge those who actually attended the trip. If you make a reservation, do not cancel by the Thursday 8pm deadline, and do not attend, you be charged a nominal No-Show Fee.*

*Other policies may apply for special events.

Hide details for What is the difference between SuperKyds and Classic? What is the difference between SuperKyds and Classic?

SuperKyds is our program for youth ages 9-10 years old. It is our "bridge" program between our younger, all day supervised, total group instruction of SuperMites, and the full day independence, individualized instruction of Classic.

In SuperKyds, our 9-10 year olds still sit in the front of the bus with a staff member, are escorted from the bus and hand delivered to their instructor at their group table in the chalet where the instructor takes group attendance and helps the kids gear up for the day. Then, from about 10a - 12p, the SuperKyds group (one instructor and up to 10 kids) and their instructor spend the morning together working on theme based skills such as racing, bumps and jumps, speed control and all out fun! From about 12p - 12:45p, the group has lunch together. At 1p -3p, the SuperKyds gather at the lesson cone area for their color level (ability level) lessons. Kids are re-grouped by their individual color level and progress through these colors as they master the skills, always working at their ability level and at their own pace. At 3p, the kids are escorted back into the chalet to their main group table, pack up for the day and are escorted back out to the buses by 3:30p.

In Classic, our program for kids ages 10-17 years old, members have the opportunity for up to 4.5 hours of instruction each day. One-and-a-half hour color level lessons are offered at 10a, 12:15p and 2p. Members can take lessons at all three times, or take lessons at two times and free ski with friends during one session, take one lesson and free ride during two sessions or take no lessons at all. This is at parent discretion and our staff will help reinforce. Members are responsible for the independence and time management to get to the lesson cones on time (this is very easy to do as we have announcements, staff support and lots of kids on the move at the same time!). With the color level lessons, kids are always receiving instruction at their ability level and progressing at their own pace. As they master the skills for the color, they move up to the next level. Parents can always check their child's lesson history online with their username and password. Lessons are typically entered by the Wednesday after the trip. Many parents make their child's upcoming week's Blizzard participation contingent upon previous week's lesson attendance.

To plan buses efficiently and keep your weekly trip fees as low as possible, the office needs to know who is coming each week. We print rosters to take attendance for all members by bus and check everyone in the morning and the afternoon, for safety. If you contact us after the deadline, there's really nothing we can do to add you to a bus; everything is already printed and sent to the bus company by Fridays at 9am.

We plan enough space on each bus for Blizzard members to enjoy a pleasant ride to and from the area, and have enough lift tickets on the bus for those registered. If people do not make a reservation and just show up, the bus ride can get very crowded and uncomfortable. Also, it may be possible that the bus is full and you will not be allowed on the trip if you have not made a reservation.

Under extenuating circumstances, you can go to the bus stop and ask the Blizzard chaperone if there's space on the bus. If there is, you may have to go to the Blizzard Table at the area to get your lift ticket.

Please do yourself and everyone else on the bus a favor and always RSVP as soon as possible!
