What is the difference between SuperKyds and Classic?
What is the difference between SuperMites and SuperKyds?
In SuperMites, our 7-8 year olds sit in the front of the bus with a staff member, are escorted from the bus and hand delivered to their instructors at their group table in the chalet where the instructors takes group attendance and help the kids gear up for the day. In this program, kids are grouped by ability level (never-ever, beginner, intermediate or advanced) and with friends, when ability level allows. SuperMites are with the same two instructors and eight kids for the entire eleven week program. They are on the hill together, have lunch together, break together and are supervised all day, at all times, in all areas. All activities are as a group and skill development is as a group. At 3p, the group heads back into the chalet to pack up for the day and are escorted back out to the buses by 3:30p.
In SuperKyds, our 9-10 year olds still sit in the front of the bus with a staff member, are escorted from the bus and hand delivered to their instructor at their group table in the chalet where the instructor takes group attendance and helps the kids gear up for the day. Then, from about 10a - 12p, the SuperKyds group (one instructor and up to 10 kids) and their instructor spend the morning together working on theme based skills such as racing, bumps and jumps, speed control and all out fun! From about 12p - 12:45p, the group has lunch together. At 1p -3p, the SuperKyds gather at the lesson cone area for their color level (ability level) lessons. Kids are re-grouped by their individual color level and progress through these colors as they master the skills, always working at their ability level and at their own pace. At 3p, the kids are escorted back into the chalet to their main group table, pack up for the day and are escorted back out to the buses by 3:30p.

When does Blizzard cancel trips? How will I know?
Where are the bus stops?
Blizzard offers nearly 20 bus stops throughout the Twin Cities metro area. There's sure to be one near you! If not, let us know and with only 15 members, we can add your favorite bus location!

Where are the bus times listed for each trip?
Bus times are listed on your email reservation confirmation. You can also find bus times on our
calendar or by looking up your
bus stop. You can also call the office and listen to the voicemail message; bus times for upcoming trips are updated each week.
Why can't my kids rent equipment at the area each time?
Why do I need to RSVP by the deadline? Can't I just show up?
To plan buses efficiently and keep your weekly trip fees as low as possible, the office needs to know who is coming each week. We print rosters to take attendance for all members by bus and check everyone in the morning and the afternoon, for safety. If you contact us after the deadline, there's really nothing we can do to add you to a bus; everything is already printed and sent to the bus company by Fridays at 9am.
We plan enough space on each bus for Blizzard members to enjoy a pleasant ride to and from the area, and have enough lift tickets on the bus for those registered. If people do not make a reservation and just show up, the bus ride can get very crowded and uncomfortable. Also, it may be possible that the bus is full and you will not be allowed on the trip if you have not made a reservation.
Under extenuating circumstances, you can go to the bus stop and ask the Blizzard chaperone if there's space on the bus. If there is, you may have to go to the Blizzard Table at the area to get your lift ticket.
Please do yourself and everyone else on the bus a favor and always RSVP as soon as possible!
