Frequently Asked Questions
These are some questions we get a lot in the office. Click any question below for more info.
Can I get credit for my trip if I cancel by the deadline?
Absolutely!
We will never charge you a trip fee if you don't attend an event. All of our charges are processed on the Monday after the trip. So, we only charge those who actually attended the trip. If you make a reservation, do not cancel by the Thursday 8pm deadline, and do not attend, you be charged a nominal No-Show Fee.*
*Other policies may apply for special events.

How do I invite a guest?
If I drive, where do I get my lift ticket?
If you plan to drive, be sure you notify the Blizzard office by the Thursday 8pm deadline so we can have a discounted lift ticket waiting for you. When you arrive at the area, come into the chalet and find the Blizzard Table to receive your lift ticket. Just look for the banner and a crowd of kids!
What does the membership fee cover?
The Membership Fee, also called a Program Fee or Registration Fee, is paid once each season when you enroll in one of Blizzard's programs.
The program fee includes:
- Access to all trips and lift tickets at a discounted rate
- Instruction -- up to 4.5 hours each week!
- Individual skill assessments
- Color level and program-specific zipper pulls and pins
- ID stickers for skis, snowboards, boots, poles, helmets -- you name it
- Annual Blizzard calendar
- Blizzard newsletter
- Optional Bonus Trips
- Special events like Parent Day, Picture Day and Picnic Day
- End-of-the-season Fun Day (obstacle courses, races, fun games and contests)
- Great discounts at affiliated ski & snowboard shops including Hoigaard's
Some programs offer lower student/teacher ratios, more instruction, or require special equipment (such as our race program). Because of higher costs to deliver these programs, Blizzard charges higher fees for them.
