Family Assistance Fund
Blizzard Ski & Snowboard School is committed to socioeconomic diversity in our programs and to making skiing and snowboarding financially accessible to all families. To achieve this vision, we have established the Blizzard Family Assistance Fund to assist families who might not otherwise be able to afford to ski or snowboard with Blizzard. The program is funded by donations from members, staff, and Blizzard itself.
To make a donation
Donations can be made any time by contacting the Blizzard office. Our online registration forms also provide a convenient opportunity to donate when you register or renew with Blizzard. Please note that donations are not tax deductible.
Instructors: If you make an election before the start of the season, you can effectively donate all or part of your pay for the season on a pre-tax basis. After the start of the season, donated pay is taxable as ordinary income.*
Your support for the Blizzard Family Assistance Fund is very much appreciated!
To apply for assistance
If your family is unable to afford the full cost of participating in Blizzard, the Blizzard Family Assistance Fund may be able to help. Depending on your family's specific needs, the Fund may assist you with the cost of membership fees, program fees, and/or weekly trip fees for one or multiple children in your family.
To apply for assistance, please contact the Blizzard office for an application form. All award decisions are made by November 1 based on all completed applications we have received by that date. Applications received after November 1 will only be considered if funds are still available.
